The 97th Academy Awards Nominations (Oscars)
Originally scheduled for Friday, January 17, the nominations for the 97th Academy Awards have been delayed to Sunday, January 19. In a message to members, the Academy expressed their condolences to those affected by the fires and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Los Angeles community.

The 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards
The Critics Choice Awards, originally set for Sunday, January 12, have been rescheduled to February (exact date TBC). Critics Choice Awards CEO Joey Berlin emphasized that safety and compassion take precedence.

BAFTA Tea Party
A key stop on the awards season circuit, the BAFTA Tea Party, scheduled for Saturday, January 11, has been canceled. BAFTA shared that their "utmost priority" remains the safety of colleagues, friends, and peers in Los Angeles.

Postponed & Cancelled
Premieres for highly anticipated projects such as Keke Palmer's One of Them Days, Better Man and Unstoppable have also been canceled, with studios like Paramount Pictures and Amazon MGM Studios prioritizing public safety. Even the notorious Warner Music Group Grammy Party was canceled and instead the company donated $1 million to fire relief and rebuilding efforts via its Warner Music Group/Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund.

The wildfires have underscored the entertainment industry’s reliance on the city of Los Angeles, not only as a production hub but also as a home for its talent and workforce. As relief efforts continue, the industry’s collective focus remains on supporting the city’s recovery and ensuring the safety of its community.
