Production has officially begun on the eerie, psychological thriller directed by James Ashcroft(Coming Home in the Dark (2021), The Rule of Jenny Pen (2024) and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)) and based on the internationally bestselling novel by Alex North.

When his eight-year-old son is abducted, a widowed crime writer looks to his estranged father, a retired former police detective, for help, only to discover a connection with the decades-old case of a convicted serial killer known as "The Whisper Man."

Known for his razor-sharp, unnerving thrillers, Ashcroft brings a surprising playfulness to set—a contrast that makes the on-screen suspense even more striking. In a behind-the-scenes video, he shared:
