Zurab's Compound, Georgia

Zurab’s Compound consists of a series of medieval stone buildings. Within the walled-in compound, an array of military vehicles are mixed in with farm equipment and grazing cows. Armed Nagazi soldiers stand guard at every entrance. It’s here that the local Governor pays Zurab a visit. Zurab expresses dismay over learning of Davit’s extended prisoner sentence. The Governor argues that his hands were tied; Davit had killed a DEA agent and the Americans demanded that Davit remain in prison. That’s not the answer the maniacal Zurab wants to hear. Without a moment of hesitation, Zurab grabs a pitchfork and drives it into the Governor’s neck. Simultaneously, the Nagazi soldiers gun down the Govenor’s security detail. The bloodbath is the price of doing business with an unconscionable warlord.
