River Thames

Eight years prior to our present-day storyline, Mason and Bernard on the banks of the River Thames meet to discuss Nadia’s secret whereabouts. Bernard presents Mason with a series of photographs of Nadia holding a baby girl. He explains that the baby girl is Mason’s daughter with Nadia. Mason plays his emotions close to the vest, but it’s clear by the tension in his jaw that he’s absolutely shocked to learn that he has a daughter with Nadia. Bernard also presents Mason with a round-trip ticket to Spain, but Mason balks at that. Bernard, however, pushes back, saying that Mason has to go to Valencia; he needs to prove Nadia wrong.
