Val is Joe and Bernard’s confident, brave, and maybe most importantly, combat-trained teenage daughter. After the fall of Citadel, she, Joe and Sandra moved into the Lion’s Den Bunker to escape from the sinister reach of Manticore. From a young age, Val has known only the horrors of a Manticore-controlled world. Later, Val is the first to detect the incoming Manticore attack on the Lion’s Den Bunker.
